Connect to remote mySQL from BH

Can't seem to be able to find information on how can i connect to a remote mySQL from BH? I've tried adding IPs to whitelist but it didn't worked for me.

Also does anybody know how big a subscriber base can our mailing list hold? I've tried to invite more than 60,000 potential subscribers but the server crashed on me. Any solutions to this?

If you're trying to create a mailing list with 60,000 people, then a shared server is not going to work for you, which bluehost is.

Default sending limit on bluehost is 50 emails per hour. You can however get that raised with a ligament reason to 500 an hour.

Simple math tells us that it would take you well over 100 hours of continuous sending, which will never happen with a bluehost account. If you need to send that many emails, then you will want a dedicated server, at least a VPS.

To access MySQL remotely the best way would be to use an SSH tunnel. But if you cannot use an SSH tunnel, then you will have to add your IP in two places. In the MySQL section of cPanel and also in your customer profile (Where you'd update billing info.)

Can't seem to be able to add my remote IP address in the customer profile section. I'm not using my machine's IP address. Any help on this?

Bluehost does not offer VPS. Search google. I would recommend www.liquidweb.com
