Does Bluehost offer any easy way of securely allowing multiple websites, managed by different people, to be hosted on one account?

For example, the administration of a school wants to offer webhosting for the school's clubs and extra-curricular activities, which are managed by their own student webmasters. Is there any built-in way to set up a user account system for the student webmasters under one Bluehost account that enables them to use all the features provided by Bluehost but without compromising the security of the account itself (i.e. giving out the account password to the student webmasters)?

Or does the programming for this reseller-like feature need to be done manually?

You can't give access to everything without compromising security - that is what the difference is between single owner and reseller accounts is all about.

There are two ways in which you can give partial control of part of the space to someone else without comprimising security.

1. Set up a separate FTP account for them that gives them access to FTP files to a given folder only (can be a subdomain or add-on domain but only the owner of the account can define it as such). This will allow them to change any of the files on that section of the hosting but will not give them access to anything else.

2. Set up a content management system such as Joomla on the site and give them the appropriate sections of that as their control panel for working on their "site".
