Hello,

I have a reseller account on plesk with 100's of domains. In plesk, I simply "add new domain" which is really easy.

How do I add domains with cpanel? I tried the "addon domains" function, but it seems to create a clone of my initial index file.

Is there some kind of special magic that needs to happen?

Please point me to a step by step proceedure or explain in detail as it is not clear to me how this is done.

Thanks
Rod

What bluehost means by host unlimited domains, is that you can buy unlimited .COM or.NET..etc and host them under YOUR cpanel. Not every account will get a cpanel. Only FTP access. Your main CPanel still controls everything. BlueHost is shared hosting not reseller hosting.

Hi Stash,

Uh..that is kinda misleading...what is the point of having unlimited domains if you can't treat them as such?

Well let's say you're a web designer or a person with alot of websites. Instead of buying hosting for each and every domain, you can buy 1 hosting and host everything under 1 account.

If your clients actually pay you to get CPanel then you would want a Reseller Account which Bluehost does NOT offer. How can you not know this when u made such a move?

Hi Stash,

That is the situation I have....I have several hundred domains that I am hosting on a reseller account. I have others that work on these domains and having individual domain access is critical.

I just thought that is what they were offering when they said "Unlimited Domains"

Hi, Rod:

Apparently you just misunderstood the term "unlimited domains." What you need is not offered by BlueHost. I would contact them and ask to close the account - so long as you do that within thirty days of activating it, I believe you will be given a full refund. Even after 30 days they will still offer a pro-rated one.
