Regex/patterns for email forwarding?

I can understand why Bluehost took away the catchall email address, but I've been using one-time email addresses for years, and it's hard to give up that convenience. It would be really nice to be able to define a forwarding address with wildcards or patterns, ie. "xyz-.*@domain.com". It seems like this would achieve the goal of preventing spam, while still allowing people to track the email addresses they hand out.
