as i used fantistico to do my phpbb install i am happy. But if i want to upgrade to phpbb3 how will i do that? Could someone help me as phpbb2 gets boring :)


part 2.

how do i add mods to phpbb2. I am not a phpbb2 person i like invision and VB but i dont know where i could get them from.

The best place to get phpBB plus styles and mods is the phpBB web site.

The downloads section has the latest phpBB2 and phpBB3 versions available (both are more recent than Fantastico provide).

The Customise section has all the styles and mods that are available to customise your forum.

yes but i dont know how to get them to work, I am a newbie with manual installation of phpbb

There are a few different ways if you included a theme installer mod but just find a theme you like that plays nice with whatever version you are using then unzip it in your template folder. Then go into the ACP and add it under Themes. That's pretty much it.

All the mods include instructions on what modifications you need to make to which files to apply that particular mod.
