Is my server down?

Got home from shopping to find I was unable to get email from any of my bluehost domains - so checked cpanel to discover that all my domains and files have gone!!! Nothing in public_html but an empty cgi-bin... 10 domains and websites all missing.

Is a server down? the service status doesn't show any problems but none of my sites are there. I've emailed support but no reply. Inevitably don't have a recent backup... Is anyone else in the same position? Or does anyone know what is going on?

About an hour ago my disk space usage was listed as 0 - now there are some figures - but still no files.

I know this isn't the place to post support questions - but in the absence of any response from support I thought anyone else in a similar position might try checking here too. And if there are more people in this situation then I presume something will be done about it. Hoping someone can come up with some answers before I panic!

First, don't email BH - use Live Chat (big blue button on the main BH page).

I'll wager that your account is being moved to a different server, so you'll have a period (an hour or two) when things aren't where they're supposed to be.

Yes, I imagined it might be something like that - but it seems to have been out for at least 3 hours now. I've been with BH for nearly 2 years now without any major problems, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that it is something logical which will be resolved. Otherwise the consequences are too ghastly to imagine!
