I don't know much about HTML, and I am looking for a drag and draw website tool. Can someone suggest me if I should consider this website or some other like Homestead.com.
What should I consider? I am planning to have a blog in my website as well.

There is a really good web editor called Kompozer that is a free download. You can run it on your computer to create your pages. That way you avoid getting locked into somewhere like Homestead (where you can't move your site to a different host without rebuilding all the pages).

You might also consider looking at a content management system like Joomla that can tie to blogging software. If you look at Fantastico, there are several options available for both and external sites where you can look at demos of each program "in action."
It doesn't hurt to learn a little about HTML, either. The language is very simple and intuitive and, with practice, it should be easy to become versed in it.

Yes, it is a very good idea to learn HTML, and possibly CSS, and if your willing to spend any money, DreamWeaver allows you to code, preview, or build the site visually, and it comes with a TON of features.

Sorry for the run-on sentence...

Of course no one can produce much of a web site without knowing HTML and CSS (the language of the web).
Trying to do so is like moving somewhere that speaks a language you don't know and expecting to be able to communicate with the people there. You may be able to make yourself understood for basic things but will not be able to hold proper conversttions without learning their language.
In the same way, you can only do very basic things with web pages until you learn the language.

Is Kompozer the same thing as NVU? If so, what would the be the advantage of it over NVU?
I created a website a long time ago using Front Page that is hosted on another site. I plan to import it directly to my Bluehost site. I don't want to rebuild the whole thing, and from what I'm now reading, opinion on FP isn't real high (although it worked fine for me for the minimal I did with it), so I plan to use NVU to edit it from this point forward. Is there any reason I should rebuild it from scratch in a new software such as Dreamweaver?

Development on Nvu apparently came to a halt, and some of the people connected to it branched off, and started Kompozer. In effect, Kompozer is Nvu with a lot of the bugs fixed.

Is this something that would be downloaded from wherever and then uploaded to Bluehost? I assume it would be installed in the cpanel somewhere and make life easier for those who want a site plus a blog?

For the beginner there are copies of systems such as Joomla that can be installed from Fantastico (which is available within cpanel). That will install a slightly outdated version of the spftware for you using preset values for many of the options so as to allow you to quickly install a copy and get going (although you will not be able to make as many choices on how you want it to work as you would if you downloaded the latest version from the Joomla web site and then uploaded and installed that).

Unless you're filthy rich or already have Dreamweaver AND know how to use it, I would go with Joomla or WordPress. They're free and lots of help is available on their forums as well as on this one (although some folks at the WP forum are downright snotty).

Hi
I know there are many site builders out there, some are as good as others, while some are not. I have used a few and have finally found one I'm very happy with. It's not without it's glitches though, as with any WYSIWYG.
You get options of choosing several templates, and It's inexpensive, or even free if you commit to 1 year of hosting with either of the 3 hosts they use with their package. 'BlueHost' is one of them.
It has quick online support also. I had an issue in the evening on a Saturday, and got a reply the next morning. On a Sunday if you can imagine that. They even have a forum with it.
It's a type and set program. But, because it is a WYSIWYG, basic HTML code knowledge is worth the time.
It's www.Ewisoft.com
You can see an example right here www.ClickYourDream.com
Hope this helps

I went to ewisoft.com and had a look around. Clicked on the Demo button and it brought Internet Explorer 6 down to its knees. Don't know what the problem is or if it is an indication of what to expect when using ewisoft. So I downloaded the program (or a demo thereof, it didn't specify which) and I'll give it a try.
Thanks for the tip.

Probably an issue with my setup. I have so much security crap on my computer - some is mine but most is Billy Gates' - I'm surprised anything works.
