Uploaded site, but...

I was able to transfer my site from the old host to BH. But all I have now is a bunch of folders. Nothing works. When I click on them I get a message saying it's no longer available. None of the pages show up as pages. Was I supposed to do a preliminary step, like set up a database before transferring it over?

Also, when I log in each time, should I be doing it via the WebDisk icon that I installed on my desktop? Because when I log in via the BH site it just takes me to a page that isn't my website page, just has a bunch of icons for different things. The WebDisk takes me to a different "place," is that the place I should be goin?

Is all this something that I could submit a ticket for and perhaps be walked through?

I don't know how much help i can be with this question. Hopefully a bluehost empolyee should see this thread before to long and help you out. But lets see how far we can get on our own. What is your domain name? your www.whatisyourdomain.com name? lets make sure it is pointing to the right spot.

...when I log in via the BH site it just takes me to a page that isn't my website page, just has a bunch of icons for different things.This is the Control Panel, and you should spend some time looking at what's on there. It's essential stuff for managing your domains, your email, etc.

Click on the File Manager icon. This will let you see what files are where.

Called tech support about this -can't say enough good things about them!- and they walked me through uploading my files to the ftp server. Everything works! :)
