I accidentally deleted a file that took down my site. I can't restore it cause I don't see a trash folder? I hate this new user panel.

where the heck is the trash folder?

Why don't you try the "Legacy File Manager" in your Cpanel. Or You can access it quickly with the URL:
http://your_domain_name:2082/frontend/bluehost/files/index.html?showhidden=1&dir=/public_html
