Hi All!
I am a complete newbie to this whole thing... In fact, it is a guy we hired that set up our site, but I can't get in touch with him and I REALLY need some help.
So, here is the deal. I am trying to sell an ebook edition of our book on cubecart. It is giving me the following message since it is a digital product.
I have NO idea how to set up, or to find, a server root path. I have tried for over an hour and a half to figure this thing out, and I am getting NOWHERE!
Is there anyone that can help me get this thing rolling, but in as plain of English as possible? I am not gifted in this area at ALL, if you can't tell...
Digital products are required to have either an HTTP Path or Server Root Path (see below).
Digital Info:
HTTP Path: http://www.domain.com/downloads/download.exe
Server Root Path: /usr/local/vhosts/www.domain.com/downloads/download.exe (Recommended!)
The advantage of using the server root path is that files can be stored elsewhere than the publicly accessible folder. If this method is chosen CubeCart will automatically create a download link which has an expiry time and max amount of downloads which is configured in the store settings.
Thank you soooo much!
Lauri
