Hi All!
New kid on the block here. And also a novice with Website building. So, any suggestions to help me with a dilemma are greatly appreciated. After downloading an 8-page website, I changed the design of the website. I accessed the File Manager and deleted the files for all pages of the original website in order to re-load new files for the updated website. All pages of the original site deleted successfully with the exception of the Home Page (or default page). I cannot get the Home (Default) Page to Delete. I have searched the files high and low for the file designated for the Home page. I understand that the Home Page is usually identified as (index.htm or index.html). I have been unable to locate the file(s) assigned to the default page in order to delete it. Am I overlooking or missing something? I have browsed and read related articles from Bluehost's Help Center; also sent an e-mail to the Help Center, but no reply. Any efforts, suggestions, recommendations are greatly welcomed and appreciated. Thanks much!

Whatever files you have for your site should be loaded into your public_html folder. If the default.htm file page is still in that same directory, try using an FTP program to delete the file if the cPanel File Manager software is not working. (People have reported issues with FM having trouble with this.)

Then, load your domain through your favorite browser. It should be as such:

http://www.yourdomainname.com/

If the default BH page shows, do a browser refresh by hitting Ctrl and F5 together.

In the future, try using the LiveChat feature on the BH home page instead of putting through a Help Desk ticket. LiveChat should put you through to a technical support person at BH.
