Hi.

I thought I had made the right choice in installing WordPress, now I'm questioning it.

I installed it ... fine. I customized it to look like my website ... great! But JHC! Posting on it is just one big pain in the butt!

Are all blogs this unintuitive, or is it just wordpress? I will write the post in the "visual" feature, putting in paragraph spaces where I want them and such, but then I look at the page and it's just one long string of text.

So I go into the code and I put paragraph codes (< P >) but by the time I look at the thing, the code has been completely altered. There's all sorts of code in there that I don't understand, but the page itself is still just one long string of text! (Yes, I've refreshed the page.)

I've even tried copying the exact code off my webpage and putting it in the code section, but something funky happens with it every time.

Is there a setting I'm missing? Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or is WordPress just this much of a pain in the butt to work with?

Please help.
Caat

If you understand HTML then just disable the visual mode and type in the HTML yourself. That's the way I do it and it always comes out exactly the way I expect it to.

Not my preferred method (I'm a wysiwyg kind-a-gal), but I know enough to do that. How do I disable it? (I looked in the 'options' settings, but couldn't find it.)

Thanks,
Caat
