When in Unlimited FTP....

The idea here is to transfer my saved website from my desktop to the cpanel? Is this right? How do you do that when you're site is brand new and there's nothing there to save and transfer other than a domain name?

What exactly am I missing?

Open whatever FTP program you use and make sure that it is configured correctly to access your site. Connect to your site and open the public_html folder. Transfer the necessary files from your computer into that folder.
