Chat Scripts?

Hey I'm wondering if anybody knows any good chat scripts, thats free, and has some type of admin features.

I've tried phpFreeChat, but it lags horribly for some strange reason.
I've tried X7Chat, but it keeps crashing Firefox.

Anybody have any suggestions? Also it would be great if it integrates with Simple Machines Forum! Thanks :D

I use X7 in an SMF forum and it works fine. Turn off the audio options and your browser will stop crashing ... though for me it was IE that was crashing not FF.

I have customised it quite a bit to meet my needs, including selecting the colours of individuals dependant on membership of SMF forum groups. See what rooms individuals can see dependant on groups, and also implemented, and tested (but not in the end put into production) a system whereby our under 18 members would be autologged out in closed periods (with different periods during week day and weekends).

We use it both for general chats and for committee meetings (our members are from around the world).

It has an efficiency issue with the SMF bridge at the moment that that I am looking to work around but my users love it otherwise
