Hi!

Ok this is the deal. I register a domain name at namecheap and of course I want to have hosted here on my BlueHost account. So I sent the support guys the domain name and the epp code so they can add it as a add on domain.

Now, when I check my domain I see that the domain have been added to public_html directory. the problem is that I don't have a ftp password, since I never added the domain myself.

Also, after I get figure out the password problem, do I have to do something at namecheap? since bluehost is hosting the domain I register with them? and when I say something I mean configuring something?

Thanks!

The process to add a domain onto to your account would be like this.

1. You point the nameservers of the domain you registered at ns1 and ns2.bluehost.com, this is done from where you registered the domain.

2. You add-on the domain through the "Addon Domains" link in cPanel.

That's it. I hope support didn't think that you were trying to transfer the domain to bluehost, you don't need to give them the EPP code for this.

If you want to add a separate FTP account for this domain all you have to do is go to "FTP Accounts" in cPanel and add one to the directory of the domain. Of course your main account information would already have access to the folder..

When I was doing the add on, I get a massage saying that the epp code was needed to verify that I was the owner.
