Is there a way to edit an htm / html page from a website. I want to let someone edit 2 pages basicly update them. I dont want to use a database. PHP would be ok. I found this but dont know how to get it to display the edits on a page.

What would be really cool is to have a interface like this post new thread deal with out the smileys that would update a perticular page.

You might consider using a CMS like Joomla and give your friend partial administration rights. Your other option is to give them FTP access and have him or her only muck with the files that you choose, so long as you trust them to leave the others alone.

NVU - Finally! A complete Web Authoring System for Linux Desktop, Microsoft Windows and Macintosh users to rival programs like FrontPage and Dreamweaver. Nvu (pronounced N-view, for a "new view") makes managing a web site a snap. Now anyone can create web pages and manage a website with no technical expertise or knowledge of HTML.

Better to user Kompozer (http://www.kompozer.net/), which picked up where Nvu left off.
