Addon domains & remote DNS

I have a couple domains I'm trying to set up websites for. I've just landed here at Bluehost, as searching the boards demonstrated that the boxes here have phpsuexec, which I need for joomla to operate correctly.

I currently have both my primary and addon domains' DNS hosted externally, and I want to keep it that way for various uninteresting reasons.

I have pointed my A records at the shared IP shown in my Bluehost cPanel for both my primary and addon domains.

However, when I ask cPanel to create the addon domain, it does a WHOIS and then complains that the domain is locked to other nameservers.

I've submitted a ticket, but thought I'd ask here to see if there's some established was of getting this done.

Please, no responses instructing me to transfer DNS for my addon domain to Bluehost. I like it where it is now.

OK, so support responded. Apparently this is done manually. I'll leave this thread here for people using the words in the title as search terms.

EDIT: In fact, they responded so quickly that I'm in shock.

Not five minutes later, and it's done.
