Hi folks, I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this problem. I recently got a couple of addons and I could not understand why I could not get these sites to upload, but finally a friend fathomed it out that I had not registered the addons, so that is what I have now been trying to do.

Bluehost asks you to send them an ID photo. I am not sure why they want this really, but I keep sending on ID photos to them. They tell me they cannot open my attached ID photo. I have now sent it to them about seven times.

It seems to me that the problem is their end because I am using the same software as them, the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. I can open the photo my end (I am in Japan, but I am not sure if that is relevant or not) and I have sent this ID photo of myself to a friends account to check and she could open it.

So, I am wondering, has anybody else experienced this problem with Bluehost when confirming their ID in order to get their addons okayed.

I was thinking of actually attaching my ID photo here to see if you guys can see it, but perhaps that is not a good idea for me to give out my ID photo to the whole forum.

Trying to telephone Bluehost has been equally frustrating too. For some odd reason I cannot get put through to any department; when I press any number for a department, it does not work. I am not sure if this has something to do with the fact that I am calling from Japan; they say they accept overseas calls but I will be charged. It may have something to do with the U.S. phone system or something, or perhaps my phone itself has some kind of problem. Hmmm!

Thanks for any suggestions.

What format are you using for your photo ID? I would assume that they would prefer a standard like JPG or PNG.

First I've heard about BH requiring a photo ID. They never asked me for one...

It's for shell access.
