I've been with Bluehost for about a year now and have done about 4 different simple sites for others and now someone wants a newsletter set-up. I'm comfortable with coding html, and using ftp but I'm still flustered by trying to find what I want in the control panel. I've read other posts in here about mailing lists and newsletter but I don't really understand much of it.
I need to set up an email sent out newsletter, code a subscribe/unsubscribe box on the website and store the emails to send the newsletter to. I'm assuming their will be at least a couple hundred addresses on the list.
What is the best (easiest) way for a newbie to set this up?

Thank you for your advice,
Janet

Google program called PHPList, works great!

It might or might not be in our Fantastico..

But, I'd worry about your customer sending spam, since spam is illegal to send from bluehost, if they screw up your account could be suspended, meaning all your sites.. Bad..

I'd research this, see what kind of protection can bluehost offer you.. Perhaps the only way to do this is to register your customer a brand new hosting plan with bluehost, so that if they do screw up, only they get sites removed, and you don't suffer..

It's one thing for you to send newsletters, but when other people are involved, things could happen.
