Mailing lists on subdomains

Hello everybody,
as the title says, my question is: Is it possible to set up mailing lists under a subdomain? Something like:

mylist@lists.domain.com

I believe the answer is yes. First, go to the Subdomain link under the Domains window in cPanel and create your subdomain. Then, under the Mail window on cPanel, go to the Email Accounts link and add a New Email Account using your subdomain. Finally, you configure your mailing list software to use the lists.domain.com address.
