forum db

i am having a lot of trouble moving my db from v2 to v3 forum. i have both forums fully set up and v2 has users and info. i want to get all those posts and users seamlessly over to v3 without losing posts or having users register again. i used backup db in v2 and placed the data in the store folder on v3 but v3 will still not restore the db. how do i get all this info moved over?

I don't know what forum program you are using but there should be a configuration file (example, config.php). Just replace the config file in v3 with the v2 config file. And change any references to the db to the old database.:o
