Installing project software

I head a small group of developers on a project now and more in the future. I managed to get a version control system installed on my site, however I am looking to install some sort of issue tracking and project management software setup on the server, but till now have been unsucessful.

I've mainly been trying to setup Trac, but have been unable to do so. And I am failing to do so completely and was wondering if anyone here has set it up properly and how, or if they know of a source that can lead me properly.
