Hi

Are there any site where I could see the Bluehost corporate offices and/or data center in Orem Utah ?

I would be curious to see inside and ouside pictures of where my site is hosted.

Thanks

why?
it would be an office building on the outside with a bunch of servers on the inside lol

It's actually something very different? Remember this from Google? (http://www.google.com/technology/pigeonrank.html)

Web servers in general do a good job of serving up pages but they aren't too smart. Birds aren't too smart neither but they can be trained. Notice the denial of service attacks have calmed down? Traffic patterns are graphically represented and slightly augmented to look like worms on a peck sensitive screen. Once unnatural traffic patters emerge on screen they peck at it and it gets redirected to nowhere.

As for the look of the building.. It's basically a huge hen house. With a pizza joint next door. They sure love pizza.

That's surprising, I would assume Google would graduate to Dolphins by at least 2003.

On a side note, I had a friend in high school who though dolphins would overthrow the earth.

Dolphins are too smart and get bored easily. Pigeons on the other hand = short term memory, instincts and very impulsive. Peck-peck! No complaints. :p

Overthow Earth? Maybe when Waterworld (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114898/) becomes reality. hehe

Basically. There's an office building that's shared with other companies. Bluehost has one half of one of the floors, the other half is occupied by this company called doba who always has hot secretaries to say hi to you when you get back from lunch (this is the thing i really miss from working at bluehost, there's no hot girls here to greet me :( ). Inside there's an office with a cubicle cluster for techs, a cluster of slightly larger cubicles for developers and admins (though, at my new place i do actually have my own office again :) ), and offices for the management.

The server rooms are in the basement of that building and in one of the other buildings, and they're just servers inside cages. It's pretty straightforward and more or less exactly what you'd expect out of a hosting company of bluehost's size and service level.

Yeah just don't date a Doba secretary otherwise it's an awkward walk back from lunch. Unless you have money to invest in fake moustaches.

Hey, for some of them it would be so worth it. :)

I guess it's better than dating our own employees. I see enough drama as it is.

Hell, if it weren't an hour away, i'd be tempted to go back there on some days just for the doba secretaries.

Not sure about now but I know when they first started they just rented space in some data center. Not there own. I would guess nothing has changed?

Bluehost rents rents the physical space, but they've always built their own servers from the ground up.
