Email question

When a email message comes into my domain and I am set up to receive it at my personal email through Outlook, how long between coming into my domain before I will receive it through Outlook on average?

You could test it.
Send yourself an email from gmail or yahoo.
Look at the send and receive times on the email.

I did that and it has been over an hour and I haven't received anything on Outlook yet. I have received on Outlook before from my domain on Bluehost, but I didn't check to see how long it took (checked the next day, etc.). I didn't know if they sent email at certain time intervals or what? Thanks for the response!!

The emails are only sent out by your email account on your domain when your email program asks for them. How long they can sit there for before you seeing them in your email program depends on whether or not your email program is running at the time they arrive and what frequency you have the program set to check for new mail.

Thank you for the info. I have (4) different email addresses set up on my domain now. The first one that I set up, the email comes through instantly. The other emails I still haven't received from Bluehost. I suppose that I am doing something wrong, or I need to change something in my email accounts. Thanks again!

Check your webmail - are new emails sitting there? If not, something is misconfigured.

Check outlook to see if you have removed the email account from the default 'send/receive' list.

The web mails are at Bluehost and I still have the accounts set to receive on Outlook, but I'm not getting them???

Info: The first email account that I set up to also come to my personal email account is working fine. The email accounts that I have added since the first one don't come to my personal email account at Outlook although they are set the same to receive as the first account. Any help is welcome!!
