Migrating a Joomla installation.

I want to switch an existing web site from a standard WYSIWYG'ed site to a CM Joomla 1.5 site. So it will take me quite a while to move the content into the Joomla installation. If I create a folder named "home" and install Joomal into it. I work on it there until it is ready to launch. Can I then just redirect the domain to the folder IN the domain. If so, how? Also is there any drawback to doing so?

I'd move my Joomla installation to the root of the website if I were you. You might have a few settings to adjust then.
