I'm in the process of transferring my websites to Bluehost from another hosting service.

Currently, the DNS for my forst transfer still points to the old site until i have the this location up and running.

I need to install DaDa Mail and am attempting to do so via the script install.

Once I am taken to the install page it tells me it reads the server but I have to enter my name and password, I do so and receive the following -

We were able to connect to your server, but the login information you provided does not work. Please use this form to re-enter your information.

The information I am entering is the correct name and the correct password.

Direction please?

For others who may run into the same problem, after several days I found out the information BlueHost tech support told me was incorrect. even after I called to double check :( .

I could not install and customize the scripts until I pointed the DNS to the new site. This was not what they told me via chat and on the phone before I moved my site here.

Once the I switched the DNS to point to BlueHost everything worked correctly. when BH tells you you can install and set-up your entire site prior to switching DNS, they seem to be wrong with that.

That is due to your trying to run the script on the site using the wrong domain name and has nothing to do with being able to transfer your site before transferring the domain name. It is a restriction within the script itself as to what domain name it needs to be on in order to let you in.

The easiest way to fix that so it will let you finish configuring the script before transferring the domain (assuming you're using Windows) is to set up an entry in the hosts file on your own computer to associate the domain name with the ip address for the new hosting just for you so that you can access the new hosting as if the domain had been transferred while everyone else continues to be directed to the old hosting until you do the actual transfer of the domain.
