New SImple Scripts took disabled my WP 2.5 site

I lost about two weeks of work. I am using the sandbox plaintext theme. Can anyone tell me how I should go about upgrading to 2.5?

How hard is it to do manually or will I have the same problems any way?

Any help will be appreciated.

if afraid i cant help, but i want to say that i have just lost four months of blogging by trying to upgrade.

Did you make a database backup?

To upgrade:

1. Install the automatic upgrade plugin from http://techie-buzz.com/wordpress-plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade-plugin.html
2. Activate the plugin
3. Run the upgrade option that the plugin adds to the menu.
4. Wait for WordPress to introduce another upgrade and then repeat step 3.

I tried the plug-in on one of my less-important blogs and it worked like a charm.

I found that plugin when I set up the first of my blogs back in October last year and have now run it successfully three times on each of the two blogs that I have set up so as to upgrade them successfully from 2.3.1 to 2.3.2 to 2.3.3 to 2.5. The 2.5 version now appears to have the same upgrade option available for all the plugins as well so that all the plugins can now be upgraded as needed without having to manually copy files (don't know if that is part of 2.5 itself or was added by the plugin).
