It looks like you've told your FTP client that the server name is laserimaginggraphics.com.coreftp, and there is no such server, of course. The server name should be just laserimaginggraphics.com.

Not sure what you mean. What file did you download from BH?
CoreFTP is an FTP client program, like FileZilla, WS_FTP LE, and so on. In any such application, you tell it what server name to connect to, what your user ID and password are, and so on.

I've never seen that page, and can't find it at the moment. Please tell me how you got to it, starting from bluehost.com.
But the bottom line is the same - you need to configure your FTP client with the correct information to let you connect to your server. Use the manual settings it's telling you to use. Based on the error message you're getting, you've entered the wrong server name.
I'm not familiar with CoreFTP, but it looks like you need to select from the Sites menu, and either create a new site with that information, or correct the one you're trying to use to connect to BH.

Heres the link to the location.
http://69.89.31.215:2082/frontend/bluehost/ftp/configure.htmlThat's a link to your Control Panel. I can't login to your Control Panel. Please describe, in words, what you are clicking on to get to that page.
Edit - Never mind, I found it. It looks to me like there's a bug in there somewhere. Don't try to use the automatic setup.
In CoreFTP, create a new site. Give it a unique name. Then enter the info as follows:
FTP Username: laserim1
FTP Password: your BH password
FTP Server: ftp://laserimaginggraphics.com
FTP Port: 21
If that fails try laserim1@laserimaginggraphics as the username. If that fails, it's time to try to figure out what CoreFTP wants as a server name. Try ftp://www.laserimaginggraphics.com or ftp://ftp.laserimaginggraphics.com.

Sorry, I went to my control panel. Then clicked on ftp accounts, then clicked on main account, then click on configure ftp account. That is where the page comes up to download the file under core ftp.
thanks

If it's still refusing to cooperate, try WS_FTP. Since that's the one I use, I can provide detailed instructions. See this post (http://www.bluehostforum.com/showpost.php?p=40488&postcount=2).

You don't need to go into any of the FTP options in cPanel uless you need to give someone else FTP access to a part of your acount.

Ok using that now.
it says cant get "www.laserimaginggraphics.com" host entry
connection failed laserimaginggraphics.com
guess this is why beginners should go with a more simple site. sorry to be a pain.
thanks

Let's back up for a minute, here. I can't find laserimaginggraphics.com at all. Did you just register that name, like within the last day or so? If so, you'll have to wait for it to propagate through the DNS system before you can connect to it by name. It might take a couple of days.
You could connect with an IP address, but that may just confuse the issue. But if you're a new BH customer, BH should have sent you an email with instructions about how to use an IP address to connect while you're waiting for your domain name to propagate.

I purchased the domain name about 2 weeks ago. I purchased 2 years of service through BH a week ago. They called me today to confirm my purchase.

Just did a little more poking. That domain name is registered, but the nameservers aren't pointing to Bluehost, so if you're trying to set up your website on Bluehost, there's no way an FTP client can find the site.
You need to go to your domain registrar (appears to be register.com) and change the nameservers to ns1.bluehost.com and ns2.bluehost.com. This establishes the link between the domain name and the place where it's hosted.

Ok, just did that. It will take 24 to 72 hours to take effect.
once again thanks for the help.

The nameservers for your domain are still pointing to register.com. Time to get back to the registrar and get some help over there with getting them pointing to the right place.
One lesson for the future - this would have been infinitely easier if you'd purchased your domain from BH.

Now it's pointing to the right place! When I hit your domain, I get a directory listing at BH. You should now be able to connect with FTP. If you're going to build the site with Dreamweaver, you might as well use the FTP client built into DW. Instructions for configuring it are here (http://helpdesk.bluehost.com/kb/index.php?x=&mod_id=2&id=65).
Now all you have to do is create a website. Piece o' cake. ;)

Tried through DW as well and still get the same thing. cannot connect to host. says remote host cannot be found.
I have tried 3 different ftp softwares, DW and everything else. I followed the directions to the dot. I have no idea, what is going on, is their a number to call someone with tech support?
