I do a search for my site and in sted of giving me my (title name)
when i find it on google it comes up with -----Index of /
and this underneath
Apache/2.2.8 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.8 OpenSSL/0.9.8g DAV/2 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at www.******_*****.net Port ...

can anyonehelp me sort this out please ?:confused:

It would help to give us the actual URL of your site. Absent that, we can only guess.

First, do you, in fact, have an index.html under public_html?

Second, you might try turning off indexing. Control Panel, Index Manager, click on public_html, and choose No Indexing.

Well, there's certainly a readily "findable" page there, so all I'm left with is my second suggestion. Also remember that Google often continues to return stale results for quite a while, until its bot crawls your site again.

Try resubmitting your website to Google:

http://www.google.com/addurl

This may take a while to reindex though. Also adding a sitemap and new content will help your site getting indexed faster.

are you saying that google will change the INDEX/OF title for me ? and the writing underneth ? thanks :D
