Could not connect to the database

Help!!!!!when I try to open my new joomla site I get this:

This site is temporarily unavailable.
Please notify the System Administrator
Could not connect to the database.

I think that the file configuration.php is ok.

What else could be the problem???

Try using the credentials you provided in configuration.php with phpMyAdmin. If it doesn't work, then your username / password are incorrect.

You could also try resetting the credentials for your database in cPanel and make sure the account is added to your Joomla database. Then edit configuration.php to adjust the username / password.

wow, I'm so stupid!!! Thank you very much. The user and pass weren't correct. I changed them for the cpanel user and pass and it is working now.
