I have a vague feeling that this question has been answered sometime, somwhere before, but I cant rembemer where or by whom (knowlege base?).

I'm in the process of creating some php classes, which it appears requires php 5 or greater to be installed, but it would appear that bluehost (at least on my account) uses php 4.4 or there abouts. Is there any method for upgrading to php 5, or has bluehost specifically decided not to support it?

I know this isnt exactly a scripting problem, but I guess this is the best forum for it?

For PHP5:

Contact bluehost support, via phone or email. We will need to verify the last 4 digits of your credit card for security purposes, and also specify a time, Monday - Friday 7am -9pm Mountain Time that you want to perform the move, as there will be about 4 horus of downtime associated with the move (for propegation). There is no extra charge, and your site will return to functioning as usual just in a PHP5 environment, and with a new IP.

If you want this done, just send in a ticket to support@bluehost.com, you can mark it ATTN: Dustin if you'd like, or you can call our tech support line and get that set up.

!!! Can't we all just get our own boxes???

I mean, heck, a DNS scan shows that BlueHost already has like 90 boxes =)
(That's plenty to go around, right? ;)

I need to host billions and billions -- oh wait, wrong astronomy list... LOL!
