Hello
I'm Very New To This So Please Bear With Me.
I Bought My Domain From Godaddy & I Moved To Bluehost For Hosting.I Changed
Both Dns' To: NS1.BLUEHOST.COM & NS2.BLUEHOST.COM.
My Url Still Shows The Temporary Address Bluehost Gave Me.
Do I Also Need To Forward My Domain?
I Contacted Bluehost & They Said I Needed To Change Both Dns' For This Work(which i have done).
Like I Said, I'm A Noobie & I'm Learning As I Go.
Any Help Would Be Appreciated.

Thank You ashfan1020

How long has it been since you changed the name server settings? It can take a bit of time for the information to propogate. Anywhere from a few hours to half a day or so isn't uncommon.

Something's definitely wrong then. DNS propogation shouldn't take anywhere near that long.

Have you uploaded your pages to the 'public_html' folder of your account and included an 'index.html' file there?

Hey Bob
There Is An Index html in my public_html folder.
I Moved My Dns First To ooowebhost.com & Then I Got The Account With BlueHost & used Their Dns.
Here's The Info I Just Got From Godaddy:

Name Servers: (Last Update 4/8/2008)
DNS1.000WEBHOST.COM
DNS2.000WEBHOST.COM
My Domain Is Unlocked
Forwarding:Domain is not forwarded.
Total DNS: (Not hosted here)
Hosting: Hosted here. ?????

Do I Need To Forward My Domain Or To Redirect It From Godaddy?
Here's The Temp Url Address BlueHost Gave Me: http://69.89.31.224/~foufeath/
This Is The Url I Was Hoping To Get: http://4feathersproductions.com
I Can Access The Backdoor & Make Changes To My Website.I Just Wanted
People To Get Directed To My Website Name.
Like I Said Before,I'm Learning As I Go Without Any Help Except From What I Read On The Internet & Good Helping People Like Yourself.
I'm 56 So I Wasn't Brought Up With Computers.I Can Build A Computer From Scratch,But Since I've Started This Business,I'm Learning About Websites Little By Little.
Well,I Guess I've Said A Lot So I Won't Take Up Anymore Of Your Time.
And Thank You Once Again For Your Response.

You need to go back to Godaddy, and get the nameservers changed to BH: ns1.bluehost.com and ns2.bluehost.com.

Hey Bob & Early Out

I Made A Lot Of Fuss & I Didn't Even See It Staring Me In The Face. I Thought I Had Changed The Dns & Didn't Pay That Much Attention To It. I Will Next Time.
Thank Both Of You For Being So Helpful (in spite of my blindness).

try to check the whois go to www.who.is (http://www.who.is) and you will be able to find out what is your name server is. if it is sent to bluehost then do the add on domain.+

hello
thank you, cool blue. i finally got that problem resolved & now i have a new one.
when i do a search on google for my website http://4feathersproductions.com/
it only gives me "index of /" for my website & not the site itself.
am i doing something wrong or is there something else i need to do?
do i need to go to my cpanel & change some script in my public_html ?
Thanks again for help.

Google indexing of your site isn't immediate, or controllable. You pretty much just have to wait for Google to visit your site, explore its content, and start listing it.
