Why can't installing a phpbb be simpler

has anyone encounter this problem when trying to go through the installation of phpbb. Everywhere I look says that the DSN should be localhost, but it continues to give me this error. Been racking my brain, scouring the web for answers and still I cannot get past this. Is something different on bluehost???
