Hi
Go to your control panel in the files section where it says FTP (Last item to the right)
You have to assign a user name in the form of xxx@mydomain.xxx (These last 3 xxx depending on your site extension (.com, .net, .org etcc) and a password.
In that section you can set a directory where these people you wish to give permission to upload photos will have access to.
Then, pass on those parameters to your people for them to configure their FTP software (Filezilla is a free one used by several people on this board including myself at times).
And then, they will be able to upload photos in their assigned directory.
Good luck
I saw that your forum was installed through SimpleScripts.
-Did the installation go flawlessly ?
-Is PHPBB3 user friendly for non technical people ?
-On the admin side, is it easy to setup ?
Thank you

Do you want people to be able to posts images into the phpBB forum or are you asking about an actual photo gallery application? I've followed your links and I see only forum posts with pictures.
A good friend of mine runs a phpBB forum hosted by Bluehost. It may very well be a forum mod that he's done but I am able to post inline pictures on his forum, essentially uploading the picture from my PC to his forum. No FTP required for that. If that is more along the lines of what you want to do I'm sure my buddy would give you a hand if you like. He's pretty proficient at the phpBB mods.
If you're looking for a stand alone photo gallery, I know there are a couple available through SimpleScripts. I use Gallery2 on one of my sites here but it's a Fantastico installation and given that Fantastico will be phased out by Bluehost, you should probably stay away from Gallery2 unless you want to do a manual installation.

Thanks very much! What I want is to make my site so that people can create pages, with images and information.... I do not know how to get it to work perfectly. So far we made it so that the main page of my site is a forum based site, and then we are trying to make the gallery section which was succesful, but you have to create a separte account. Is there a way to have a gallery and forum on one thing? Also we been aslo thinking is there a way we could add a rating system to forums and photos? We want it to be set up so that on peoples profile that what ever photos they post, it goes on there profile and the forum/ page they make. This might be to complex of an idea, but if it is possible to make, even if it involves html, I would be willing to look into those kinds of things. But at the very least we want to make it so others can upload photos directly from there computer onto a forum..... Is even this piossible? Before we signed up for bluehost, we had this site http://cascadehikers.topicboards.com/index.htm which was free, but had a limited amount of space and no domain url..... if I could even get it set up like that site, that would be very nice, because there is a uploading system on that site, and a gallery section. Please let me know if you have any questiuons about how I want it, or let me know if this idea is to complex..... I am 15 years old so I'm not that experienced with html.... but I can learn. Thanks. Cheers Josh Lewis.

Based on what you're saying I think you should look into one of the photo gallery applications available via SimpleScripts. Zenphoto looks good but I've never used it. You could always install it and play around with and see if it works for you.
I checked with my friend about phpBB and he says the inline image posting is a standard feature in phpBB 3, which is probably the version you have installed. A forum is probably not the best application for a photo gallery but maybe you can make it work for you.

Hey Buddy,
I would check out various CMS scripts to do what you need. Such as Joomla or E104. They are very powerful scripts and should suit your needs :)
