Surprisingly, I get an email from bluehost telling me that my card was just charged $30 for 90 days of service I didn't ask for. I never gave anyone permission to charge my card again, didn't ask for anymore time for my site, nothing. This is BS. I am extremely ticked off, and it's a Sunday, so I can't contact the billing dept. And to boot, it's impossible to cancel your subscription. Does anyone here have any idea how to do that. I would like to know. Then I'm calling up bluehost to DEMAND that they refund the charge they put on my card, because my account wasn't going to EXPIRE FOR ANOTHER TWO WEEKS ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, that certainly sounds like an earth-shaking tragedy. You should alert the media. How many casualties were there?

By default, accounts are set up for automatic renewal. This prevents people from suddenly discovering that their accounts have been suspended, simply because they forgot to renew. Tomorrow, contact the billing department.

BlueHost automatically renew all domains and hosting about a month before the due date for you so that you don't forget. If you didn't want them to do that you should have notified them beforehand.

Since your prior paid period has not yet run out you should have no trouble getting them to refund the additional payment.
