View Full Version : premature end of script headers

When I check my MAIN error log in Cpanel most entries are of the following form:

Premature end of script headers: share-this.php, referer: http://www.criarsites.com/banner-site/

I checked out what "share-this.php" is and as far as I can tell it is a wordpress plugin. We don't run wordpress on our domain, only Drupal, which has no such php file.

Entries like the above, almost all of the coming from the criarsites.com domain, are filling some at least 100,000 lines in the error log each day, so I am somewhat concerned.

Does anybody have an idea what is going on?

The Main Error Log is showing you all the errors on the server - it's not just showing you the errors from your own account. There is nothing you can do about errors on someone else's account.

Thanks for the quick response. On the one hand it is a relief to know this is not caused by the setup of our domain. On the other hand it makes the MAIN error log completely useless, having it flooded by someone elses setup.

Yes, the main error log doesn't serve much purpose, though I suppose the admins can look at it to figure out why a server is misbehaving. And in this case, if one domain is generating huge numbers of errors like that, it might be worth bringing it to BH's attention. That kind of flood of errors can't be good for the performance on that box.

Niels,
I am the owner of that website. I apologise for any problems you have had.

I have transfered this website to another host, so you donīt need to worry about any more.

I didnīt now about the problems with this wordpress plugin. So now, I have deactivated it.
