For my money, you're always better off using an email client program like Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc., to fetch your mail, than trying to use any of the webmail programs.
The client programs are more robust, more reliable, and more full-featured, and they give you complete control over your email. You can use rules to sort incoming messages, you control when your messages get backed up, you have more control over the formatting of your outgoing messages, and so on.
I use webmail only when I'm away from my own PC, and have no choice.

I'm with Early Out. I used to use Horde to check several blog-related email accounts but that got to be a drag, so I set up Outlook Express to "fetch" the email from those accounts. Works fine. Haven't missed Horde since leaving.

I use Thunderbird when I am at home and Horde on those occasions I need to access my email from elsewhere. There is no reason for using webmail from your own computer when even the worst email program is better than the best webmail.

I use outlook. In cPanel you can find the manual configuration settings (or let it try and automatically configure).
