First time making a site.....2 possibly major issues.....

First off, hello to all the vets out here, i am yet another newbie and do hope to learn from everyone.

1)Trying to install Vbulletin and having major issues b/c they say I have to have a SQL file for it (which I do) but I can't get the software I uploaded via FTP from the file manager to SQL.

2)When you type in my web addy it brings up a blank page with: "Index of/ and cgi-bin (and the cgi part is clickable).

Any help on #1 is greatly appreciated.

As for #2, did I accidentally do something to cause that to come up???

here is what you must do in order to install Vbulletin
1) upload the vbulletin files in your website let say this is the /www/forum/ directory
2) make a mysql database and a user letsay the db name is username_vb and the user is
username_vbusr
3) point the browser to the path of your forum ex. http://domain.com/forum
4) install it
5 ) fllow the instructions in there provided and you will be ok :)
