I signed up for webhosting with Bluehost, and a few hours ago, I updated my nameservers with Address Creation, which is where my domain name is registered. Address Creation even sent me a confirmation email about the update.
So far, so good.
I uploaded a short little index.html placeholder file into BlueHost. But when I try to go to my website, I just get the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error.
When I spoke on the phone to a BlueHost support person a few hours ago, he told me that it all looks good on the BlueHost end, and that the nameservers should propagate fairly quickly. He reassured me that I could look on Whois to satisfy myself that the nameservers are indeed updated.
BUT, Whois still shows the nameservers for my domain as being set at ns1.nameresolve.com (for ns 1 through 4).
Address Creation does not have weekend phone support. I am switching from their web hosting because their customer service is stunningly sucky and often inaccurate. I'm coming to BlueHost in the aftermath of a domain mapping mess at Address Creation, and I'm afraid that is somehow screwing up the nameserver update.
I really need to get a basic web page up and running as soon as possible.
My question is: is it evidence of a problem that Whois does not reflect the updated nameservers? Or will this all straighten itself out without my having to do anything?
