I need some help. While I'm not an expert at HTML, scripts, etc I do know some of the basics - but I'm completely lost here.
I'd like to add a rotating banner to my site. I've uploaded all the images and linked them to their particular page. Now, I'm supposed to change my file extension to Shtm/shtml - but when I do that the file isn't found on the live site. I'm so confused!! I can't get it to show up at all - what am I doing wrong? It seemed to be so easy - heck I got my forums, blog and photo gallery installed just fine! LOL
All I want is a rotating banner in one of my tables, and I can't get it there.
Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jen

You may need to do a little more searching but if I recall correctly entropybanner was a perl script and you are meant to plug it into a page using server side includes {ssi} hence the rename to *.shtml

I "think" the problem was the apache handlers which can be changed in CPanel near the bottom. I think you need...

Handler Extension(s)
System Apache Handlers cgi-script .cgi .pl
server-parsed .shtml

BUT if you just called BH they'd be able to tell you right away it's not you or your scripts. The fix is also here someplace in the forum but I can't recall under what :o

Oooh! Ok, thanks. I'll see if I can find it in some other threads. I did a search before I posted, but nothing came up - I'll try some other phrases ;)
