I have a website on another host that has 3 more months to run before new billing. Although I have been quite happy with them, they don't offer the fantastico installation program, and do have limits on mailboxes.
I want to setup an entire zencart store before I move the actual domain, so there is a total seamless transition. Since my other host doesn't have fantastico, it is more effort than it is worth to upgrade zencart and add the mods I want to.
Since I want to redo the design anyway, I thought a fresh install, add all the relevant mods before I start making any changes of my own to the php. So that way if I do screw it up, I can uninstall and go again.
I tried chat but didn't get an answer to my actual problem and then chat dropped out on me, so I thought this might be the better area to try.
I do currently have a site on bluehost and found it great ease getting the zencart set up in advance before I start adding products and making changes.
So is it possible to do an advance setup, or will zencart become dysfunctional when I change from the ip address to the domain name?
