The effects of new addon domains on main domain SEO

Hi,

Imagine my main domain is mainsite.com. If I create a forum in the name of myforum.com, a sub-domain is also created in the name of: http://myforum.mainsite.com.

I want to know if creating this forum at the address of : myforum.com, improves the SEO TOOLS scores of mymainsite.com for search engines? (Due to creation of myforum.mainsite.com)

Please explain the effects of new addon domains on main domain SEO with more details.

The sub-domain is there so you can access the stats for the add-on domain. It serves no other purpose.
