I would like to set up a folder in my public html folder of one of my domain folders, so that i can unpload powerpoint presentations in it so that i can give the link to a client and the can download the presentations without having ftp software.

I got the idea from a company where i downloaded a presentation, they just gave me the link www.domainname.com/sales/presentations and then i chose the presentation i wanted (see image attached)

I have tried to replicate this, i have made a presentation folder and uploaded my presentations to it, only prob is that when i type in www.domainname.com/sales/presentations i get a Error page 404 Not Found.

What an i missing?

Thankx in advance

Do you have indexing turned off on your account, perhaps? If indexing is turned on, and you point your browser to a directory that doesn't have an index.html in it, you're presented with a simple list of the files - if indexing is turned off, you get an error.

Take a look at Control Panel, the Advanced section, Index Manager. Navigate to your "presentations" folder by clicking on the folder icons, then click on the name of the "presentations" folder. You can choose the style of indexing you want for that directory.
