I have no problem uploading my web site, www.americahurrah.com
when it is for changed pages only, but if I try to upload all files it stops about a quarter way through. The size is about 243 mb.

What FTP program are you using?
I believe passive mode might come in handy here.

I can't help you other than saying when the file stops uploading, disconnect/reconnect and resume your file transfer. That should temporary fix the issue until Early Out or Felgall can assist you further.

I use FrontPage 2003 for uploading by FTP with no problem, it is only when I publish to Server Extensions that it stops. I'll just publish to extensions when pages change.

When I uploaded my Front Page site to Bluehost a year ago I had the same problem. I called Tech Help and was told that large Front Page sites typically "hang up" halfway through an automatic load, and I should load the site manually, folder by folder. I did, and it worked.

You may better install filezilla and use it for all major uploads. Filezilla is free FTP client and it will take crae of resuming, overwriting, multi threads etc. A dedicated FTP client is must for professionals.

Just to clarify something here if you are using frontpage and need to publish with another ftp client then do the following.

1. In front page publish your website to a folder on your PC
2. Go to that folder with your new FTP client and upload the files you just published, to your Bluehost account.

This should keep all the crazy front page stuff in order. ;)

A question about Front Page:

I used it for a site many years ago on a host site where I could edit everything live. Now that I'm at Bluehost, I have to edit on my computer and upload. Problem is that when the site is dead on my desktop I have to change every single link MANUALLY. That is, I can't change one link and have all that connect to it automatically update, too. Is this how it is, or is there a way to update a link in one folder so that all the connecting links in other folders will update, too? For instance, I have a global bar at the bottom with my email in it. I have to change that email link in every single folder and every single page because the global bar doesn't work on the desktop like it did when it was live.

I wouldn't recommend using FP to upload 243mb, that will time out. Use FTP, you'll save yourself a lot of headache.
