FTP - How long until my site updates?

Hello,

I have been updating my site via FTP and my changes are yet reflected when I access my website via its home url. My question is this, how long will does it usually take for changes to reflect through the bluehost servers??

p.s. If your update all sites at the same time, could you provide us a link to when those 'refresh' occur, we as developers could coordinate to have our sites updated at those times..

Changes made via FTP should be instaneously available for browsing. Does your web browser perhaps have the pages cached? If so, clearing the cache will allow you to see the changes.

i figured it might be that as well. i thought that force refresh 'f5+refresh' would suffice. works most other times, didnt work this time. i will try your suggestion; i did think ftp should be instant, but i know some host do global refresh or whatever, like per hour or whatever. thank you.

FTP should be instantaneous, Yes. =]
Make sure the files in which you're uploading are possibly overwriting your other files?
