1.

I have multiple sites hosted with Bluehost. Lets pretend one was named "mysite.com". When you used to visit mysite.com you would see "http://www.mysite.com" in your web browser.

Now, however, ALL of my sites dont display their URLs, they display the folder that they are in within my main Bluehost site. For example, when you visit mysite.com the browser now displays:

http://www.mymainsite.com/mysite/

Or when you visit mysite2.com the browser displays:

http://www.mymainsite.com/mysite2/

How can I get my website URLs to display like they used to?

2.

About 30 rows disappeared from one of the tables in my database. It was a table that records member information, and all 30 rows that belonged to a certain member disappeared out of the blue.

Has anybody else seen rows disappear from their tables, for seemingly no reason?

I have had db information disappear before but not on BH, on my local machine. Something might have gotten corrupted with your domain names is why they are displaying the way they are. You can check that in the cPanel under Domains.

Hello,
Yes, I have had my domain go down 11 times in the last 9 days. I was on box 502 and they said they merged it with 45. I just wanted to be on a different box, because every time it crashes my database is corrupted and I have to reload a backup. It's happened pretty much every day.

Bluehost has been reliable for me for the last 3 years, but now it's ridiculous - I don't want to switch, but when I called the 888 number and asked to speak with a manager "Mike" put me on hold for 37 minutes before disconnecting me. Now that's customer service!

I called BlueHost Tech Support this morning, and got a live person on the phone in less than 2 minutes. Pretty surprised. I used to use StartLogic and it took HOURS to get someone on the phone (and it usually ended up being somebody overseas who I can barely understand - no offense).

Anyways they fixed the domain issue.

I didn't mention the database issue, I'm hoping it's a one-time fluke, but I'll get into the habit of backing up my database every night now.

xsHydro - when you said box 45, did you mean box 445? I asked what box I was on and they said 445. I was wondering if my data disappearing had something to do with the merging of the two boxes you mentioned.

It may have been 445- I was told this by a level one tech. Seems the level 1's on live chat only are a communication line between the customers and the technicians so they tech's don't get flamed by angry customers.

It has crashed again today. I've experienced a server crash 13 times in 18 days. Every time it crashes every page is corrupted. If this continues I'm going to need to find a dedicated server or something, it's just too frustrating.

Bluehost seems to be having major server issues...
