I just signed up for an account and I'm quite new to all these..
I understand that free scripts and software are provided but I don't really know what they are and their functions. I've gone through and I've got some idea.. for example in Fantastico.. under Content Management .. I see the following: Geeklog, Joomla, Mambo Open Source, PHP-Nuke, php WCMS, php Website, Post-Nuke, Siteframe, Xoops
I know they have roughly the similar functions. But out of all of them, which has the most useful functions for me? I'm just building a homepage.. I probably need a commentary system, hit counter, visitor counter? Do they have such functions? Thanksss a lot for your help :)

Depends what you want to do, innit? 'home page' is a vague term which could mean so many things... if you're looking for a blog, use wordpress which is by far the best solution for that kind of site. your homepage can count visitors etc easily using code from www.statcounter.com (amongst many others, but it's the one I use)...

in short, tell us what you want to do and you'll receive better advice than this well-oiled tripe. (I am on holiday, so forgive me)
