any1 know wer i can get a good1 from? cheap bein the pareameal word :D with around 1000 gig download space and enough bandwith to satisfy half a million online users :eek: maybe 50 thousand :p i did get in contact with1 but it was kak. but do i need a pc to be on 24/7 to av me own server?

If you want to run your own server, sitting in your own basement, then of course it has to be on 24/7, and you'd better have an Internet connection with a huge upload speed to handle the traffic! If you sign up for a service that provides a dedicated server or VPS, then your PC doesn't have anything to do with it.

Better go for co location server, make a good server and place in any ISP near to u. THis will be better solution for u
