I wish to change my domain name and let the old domain expire at the end of my present contract with BlueHost (270 days). I will continue hosting with BlueHost but with a new domain name.

Please let me know how to set up a new domain name, while keeping the old active, and set up forwarding from the old domain name to the new one.

How do you currently have the old domain name set up - is it your main domain, parked, or add-on,

If an add-on then simply create the new domain as an add-on pointing to the same folder as the existing domain and they will then both point to the same pages.

If the existing domain is parked then simply park the new domain and they will then both point to the same pages as your main domain.

If the old domain is your main domain then things are more complicated because that is the domain your account is attached to. You can set up the new domain to point to the same pages by setting it up as a parked domain. You can't get rid of the old domain though without getting support to transfer your account from one domain to the other so that the new domain becomes the main one on a new hosting account.

Thanks for your response. The current domain name is the main domain name.
When I am ready for the new domain to be activated I will call BlueHost and have someone help me make the transition. Do you have the customer support number I should call?

Thanks for your help, Prescott
