Can I update my wordpress site using the wordpress.com login, or must I go to my bluehost control panel?
Also, anyone know of simple instructions of using wordpress with bluehost? I'm new to this stuff.

Your wordpress.com login is only valid for the wordpress.com site. If you want to use wordpress here you would:
Login to your Bluehost control panel
Click on the Fantastico link.
Click on the Wordpress Entry
Click on Create & Follow Prompts
This will create a stock wordpress install that you can access
Next step. Login to wordpress.com
Choose the export option to export your posts to a XML file.
Switch back to your new wordpress install on bluehost and import the XML (RSS) posts.
Upload whatever theme you want to the wp-content/themes directory.
That is really about it. Good luck and enjoy. I am using wordpress with bluehost.

I've tried to upload a couple of different themes without luck. What are the steps, if you don't mind, I'd really appreciate it.
Also - if I update my theme will the fomatting, that is the size of pictures etc., have to be changed to accomodate the new theme? That'd suck, because, I've got a lot of content on my photoblog that'd mean a lot of work if I had to change it. Anyway, take care, thanks,
Justin

I use Filezilla to ftp my themes in. It's pretty easy and quite self explanatory once you get it set up.
Good luck! :)

or:

Once you login, go to the Manage / Imaport option.
I am glad you like my site.

Each theme has its own nuances so you may find some adjustment is necessary, or you might find it to work fine. Themes go in the theme subdirectory under wp-content. Each theme should have its own folder.
